Confetti and Smile

In this colourful abstract painting I was recalling the feeling of being at my own wedding and the moment the confetti was thrown and it’s part of a ritual. I looked up an old photograph and the smile on my late Dad’s face was pure joy as he threw the paper in the air - childlike.
The colours are of confetti are a delight, the energy is high and joy is felt in the moment. The moment creates connection, a joint moment of celebration, and it’s often captured on a photograph in an instant, then it’s gone. The happiness and hopes and dreams in little pieces of paper thrown into the air. Magical.
This lovely abstract painting could be a lovely gift for the home and could look wonderful in a lovely light, airy home ….or could be a really meaningfor a couple for a wedding!
